The NWYC2025 Oceania Regional Qualifiers will take place from Monday, 16th September to Saturday, 21st September in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Five teams from the region will compete, with four (Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, and Tonga) vying for a spot in the NWYC2025. Fiji, having pre-qualified, will participate as a non-competitive team.
The NWYC is the pinnacle event for U21 netballers. The 2025 edition will be held in Gibraltar from 19th to 28th September 2025, featuring 20 teams from around the world. Here’s how the teams are determined:
Five teams have already secured their spots at the NWYC2025:
New Zealand, Australia, England, and Fiji earned their places due to their top four finish at the NWYC2017, the last NWYC held, as the NWYC2021 in Fiji was cancelled due to Covid-19. Gibraltar automatically qualifies as the host nation for the 2025 event.
Fifteen more spots remain for the NWYC2025. These will be filled through Regional Qualifiers held by World Netball's five Regional Federations: Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
