Greetings from Oceania Netball
Wansolwara is a pidgin word meaning ‘one ocean, one people’ — it reflects a connected waterscape that holds distinct and diverse cultures and communities.
Netball has connected many countries and women in the region since 1963, when the sport was first played competitively at the inaugural Pacific Games in Suva.
Since then, netball has undeniably become the number one female participation sport in our region, bringing joy and entertainment to many whilst support healthy lifestyle choices and producing quality athletes who compete at international events.
This website would keep us informed of the latest netball developments in our member countries, our region, and the world. It’s currently work in progress and we hope to develop it further as we grow our brand in this digital space.
We welcome you to experience our netball journey through this platform; as we continue to build our region, scattered as we are in our sea of islands, espousing our strategic theme of “One Ocean, One Family”
