ANNOUNCEMENT OF APPOINTMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF OCEANIA NETBALL

Oceania Netball Federation is pleased to announce the formal appointment of CDR Salote Adi Lopaukamea Sisifa (Commander of the Royal Order of the Crown of Tonga) as the President of Oceania Netball. CDR Sisifa brings a wealth of experience, and a strong passion and commitment to lead Netball in Oceania.

CDR Sisifa has had an extensive career as a Leadership Executive in Netball and Journalism. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tonga Netball Association, and has a successful track record of achievements such as taking the Kingdom of Tonga to new heights in the regional and international Netball Stage. Importantly, CDR Sisifa has demonstrated clear vision, commitment, and leadership qualities befitting to lead, enhance and sustain the development of netball in Oceania.
In accepting her appointment, CDR Sisifa remarked: “I am humbled and honoured for the trust and confidence bestowed on me by the Member Countries of Oceania to lead. I am well aware that this trust come’s with responsibilities, expectations, and of course challenges. I am excited to take on this role for the best interests of Oceania Netball, and I look forward to working with the Executives of Oceania Netball, and the Member Countries to implement and sustain our shared visions and goals.”

CDR Sisifa’s appointment was unanimously voted and formalised by members of Oceania Netball during the 10th Oceania Netball -Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on the 26th June 2025, in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. CDR Sisifa is now the Third President of Oceania Netball, following the late Ms Wainikiti Bogidrau (Fiji) who served as the Second President from 2019 to 2024, and the Honourable Nina Brown (Cook Islands) who served as the First President of Oceania Netball from 2014 to 2019.
