World Netball Ranking Update: Fiji Moves Up One Place

World Netball (WN) has released the latest update to the WN World Rankings as of 25th July, with significant movements including Fiji’s rise and France’s debut in the rankings.

France Enters the Rankings

France has entered the WN World Rankings for the first time, sitting at 29th with a rating of 31. This milestone follows France’s achievement of becoming a Full Member of WN in March 2023 and reaching the minimum number of required matches (8) during the Europe Netball Open Challenge in May.

Fiji’s Rise in the Rankings

Fiji has moved up one place to 14th in the rankings, thanks to their strong performance in the Pacific Netball Series, where they finished as runners-up to Tonga, who are currently ranked 8th in the world. Fiji's rating increased by three points, reflecting their progress.

Other Oceania Movements
  • Samoa: Dropped one place to 18th.
  • Papua New Guinea: Moved up one place to 28th.
  • Cook Islands: Due to limited ranking games, they are now ranked 34th.
  • Solomon Islands: have a rating in the system and could become ranked once they have played 8 matches

There are now 47 countries with official WN rankings.
